Dr. Jennifer Carroll, assistant professor at NC State University, discusses the misinformation and myths about substances and substance use, which is used to fuel stigmas and as the foundation for criminalization.
This webinar focuses on on overcoming stigma through supportive language to encourage engagement in care and build trust in services. Speakers include Michelle Mathis (Executive Director, Olive Branch Ministry) and Christopher Campau (Division of Public Health, Injury and Violence Prevention Branch).
